A notary's job is to verify each signer's identity, confirm they are signing willingly and knowingly, and apply an official seal that helps the document stand up later. Because these papers can be reviewed by clinics, agencies, courts, and even authorities in other states or countries, a clean, correct notarization protects everyone involved.

Common IVF and fertility documents that get notarized

Every clinic and agency is different, but these are the kinds of documents clients frequently bring to me:

• Egg, sperm, and embryo donation consent and agreement forms
• Gestational carrier (surrogacy) agreements between intended parents and the surrogate

Many fertility arrangements involve people in different cities or states — intended parents in one place, a surrogate or donor in another. With Remote Online Notarization (RON), we meet over a secure video session, verify your ID, and notarize your documents without anyone having to travel. It's legal, secure, and available to clients nationwide, seven days a week. That makes RON especially convenient for donation consents and surrogacy paperwork when signers aren't in the same location.

What to have ready for your appointment

To keep your signing smooth, please have on hand:

• A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) for every signer
• The complete document — printed for an in-person signing, or uploaded ahead of time for an online session
• Any witnesses your clinic or attorney requires (I can advise on what's typical, but follow your provider's instructions)
• Names spelled exactly as they appear on the documents and IDs

Do not sign the documents ahead of time — signatures on notarized pages should be made in front of me.
